A
ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned to mark the opening of the new Theresia M. Heyden Hall for Nursing and Allied Health at the Oceanside Campus.
The $29.7 million facility will provide training facilities, simulation spaces, patient and operating rooms, and hands-on skills labs and classrooms outfitted with the latest healthcare technologies. The new building will support degree and certificate programs for several in-demand healthcare fields, including nursing, kinesiology, nutrition, health education, and careers as medical administrative professionals.
The 20,450-square-foot facility is named for Theresia M. Heyden, a long-time Oceanside resident and philanthropist.
The ribbon-cutting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21, at 10:00 a.m. at MiraCosta College, 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside. The event is open to the public. Please park in OC-5A.
