
William Shakespeare’s bright and fast-paced comedy, The Merry Wives of Windsor, will be performed at the MiraCosta College Theater November 12 through November 20.
The play’s main character, Sir John Falstaff, a self-proclaimed lady’s man, is down on his luck and decides to restore his fortunes by seducing the wives of two wealthy citizens. He sends the two women identical love letters, but they discover his double-dealing and set about on a creative plot of revenge to end his mischief.
The Shakespeare play is directed by Tracy Williams, a Theatre and Film faculty member at MiraCosta College.
Performances will be held on the evenings of November 12, 16, 17, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. Matinees at 2 p.m. will be held on November 12, 13, 19 and 20. Seating is reserved. Children under the age of 5 will not be admitted to the theater.
