01/20/2022

MiraCosta College’s spring 2022 classes begin January 24, with hundreds of classes in a range of subjects offered. From math and English to accounting and web design, now is the time to work toward a degree or certificate, retrain for careers of tomorrow, transfer to a four-year university, enroll for personal enrichment, professional growth, or to gain a new skill. Discover all the open sections by visiting miracosta.edu/open.

MiraCosta College, like all colleges and universities in San Diego County, is having to make difficult and data-informed decisions to uphold the safety of all students and employees. San Diego County is currently experiencing a winter surge in cases of the Omicron variant and reports record numbers of those infected daily. As cases rise, disruptions in services ranging from childcare, K-12 education, and transportation are impacting the lives of many.

To curb the spread, maintain a safe learning and work environment, and mitigate the impact of the highly contagious variant, the majority of classes* will temporarily transition to an online format. Remote instruction will extend through February 21 for on-ground and hybrid courses (scheduled online courses, will proceed online). Following Presidents’ Day weekend, if the peak has passed and the indicators look good, students enrolled in on-ground and hybrid courses will resume instruction face-to-face as of February 22.

For current information on MiraCosta’s return to campus and MiraCosta’s COVID-19 response, please visit MiraCosta.edu/COVID.

For more information or to register, visit miracosta.edu/spring. Financial Aid and Scholarships are available. With the flexibility of 8, 12, and 16-week classes, there is no better time to learn new skills, advance in a current career, earn a certificate, or complete courses to transfer to a university.

*Career Education courses (such as Nursing and Automotive) and other hard-to-convert to online courses and activity courses, will continue to meet on-ground as originally scheduled. If you are uncertain that your class falls into this category, please contact the course instructor.
