As MiraCosta College advances the search for its next Superintendent/President, we are committed to a thoughtful and inclusive process shaped by the voices of those who know and serve the College best. The success of this search depends on the collective insight of our campus and community, and we value the perspectives informed by your experience, expertise, and commitment to MiraCosta College’s mission.
On January 15, 2026, the Board of Trustees finalized the selection of AGB Search as the consultant to support this important work. With national expertise in executive leadership recruitment, AGB Search will partner with the Board throughout the process. With this selection complete, your input regarding the vision and qualities needed in MiraCosta College’s next leader is both timely and essential.
You are invited to participate in an upcoming Presidential Listening Session designed to gather broad input and help shape the leadership profile for the College’s next Superintendent/President. These sessions will focus on:
The key challenges, priorities, and opportunities the next Superintendent/President must be prepared to address.
The personal and professional qualities required to lead MiraCosta College with integrity, collaboration, and a strong commitment to student success, equity, and community engagement.
Your participation is vital. The perspectives shared during these sessions will directly inform the search process and help ensure the selected leader is responsive to current needs while positioned to advance the College’s future.
Listening Session Options:
To maximize accessibility, two sessions will be offered for the community.
Session 1: 100% Virtual (Zoom)
Date/Time: Thursday, January 29, 5–6 p.m.
Session 2: 100% Virtual (Zoom)
Date/Time: Friday, January 30, 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
If you are unable to attend either listening session, you are encouraged to share your feedback by
