The Beauty of the Figure will be on display at the MiraCosta College Kruglak Art Gallery February 7 through March 3.
This exhibition showcases Ken and Stephanie Goldman’s clothed and nude figures created throughout the years. Stephanie Goldman is known for her richly-colored figures, insightful portraits, boldly-painted miniatures, and dynamic charcoal, pencil, and ink drawings. She believes that each piece should tell a story. Ken Goldman feels a painting is a quest for dynamic visual balance. His subjects reflect his attraction to certain light effects, a desire to express deeply felt emotions or ideas, and a simple appreciation for the pure joy of art-making.
A reception will be held on Wednesday, February 8, from 11 a.m.—1:30 p.m., with an artist’s talk at 11:30 a.m. The Kruglak Gallery is located in the Student Center, Building 3400 (lower level), 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside, CA. Gallery hours are 2:30—7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and 11 a.m.—3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Admission is free.
