SYNOPSIS: 

On 10.27.2022, around 8:51 p.m., at the Oceanside Campus (1 Barnard Drive), an unknown individual followed a female to their vehicle. The female student noticed the individual following her from parking lot 3C, leading into parking lot 3A. She turned to confront the individual. After being confronted, the individual stated that he was going to ask her for a ride home. When the female declined, the male walked away.

If seen, do not attempt to contact, please notify MiraCosta College Police immediately at 760.795.6640 or 6911 from any campus phone.


SUBJECT DESCRIPTION: 

Adult Male, Mid 20’s, Medium Complexion, 5’9”, 130-160 pounds, short curly brown hair, no facial hair, green shirt/sweater, and black pants.


SAFETY TIPS:

College Police will be providing extra patrol during the afternoon and evening hours. Please consider the following safety tips:
  • Walk with a companion whenever possible.
  • Be aware of your surroundings; report any suspicious behavior to College Police immediately at 760.795.6640 (please enter this number into your cellular telephone).
  • Always carry a cellular telephone, and consider carrying a whistle or other noise-making device that can be used to attract attention or summon assistance.
  • If you encounter someone presenting harassing/threatening behavior, immediately go to the nearest occupied campus building to report the incident; try to remember as many details about the person and their vehicle (if any) as possible.
  • Emergency call boxes are located at the following locations on the Oceanside Campus; Parking lots 3A, 3C, 4C, 5A, and 5B. Call boxes are also located next to several buildings; 1000 Building, 2000 Building, 3200 Building, 3400 Building, 3600 Building, 4500 Building, 4800 Building, and 7000 Building.
