Two-bedroom, one bath condo units will begin selling for less than $200,000!

11/10/2021

As the cost of housing is ever rising in the San Diego region, where the MiraCosta College District is no exemption, please find information on condominiums in the Mulberry at Bressi Ranch development.

Two-bedroom, one bath condo units will begin selling for less than $200,000!

The Affordable Housing Resale Program launched by the City of Carlsbad is designed to assist qualified, lower-income households in the purchase of a city-owned residential property at an affordable price. The City purchased each unit from a low-income homeowner to preserve the units as affordable housing and make the units available for purchase to qualified buyers.

The affordable condominiums that will be available for purchase will be limited to buyers who do not exceed the gross maximum yearly income ranging from $42,450 for a family of one to $65,450 to a family of five. Income levels are based on family size and provided for reference and pricing.

Interested buyers will be required to currently live in San Diego County and must not have purchased a unit under any other first-time homebuyer or affordable for-sale housing program administered by the City of Carlsbad in the past seven years.

The City of Carlsbad will begin accepting applications for city-owned units on November 19, 2021. The application period will be open for 60 days and will close on January 17, 2022.

Once the city opens the application period on November 19, interested buyers will be able to download an application from this webpage. Buyers will be required to return the completed application by mail, email, or in person to:

City of Carlsbad
Attn: Affordable Housing Program
Housing and Homeless Services Department
1200 Carlsbad Village Drive
Carlsbad, CA 92008
affordablehousing@carlsbadca.gov

Applications will be reviewed in the order they are received. Applicants will be contacted within 3-5 business days after submitting a completed application. Please contact city staff for special requests for printed copies to be mailed. One application per household will be accepted.
