Dear MiraCosta Campus Community,


MiraCosta College is growing to better serve our students. In preparation for the new Student Services Building on the Oceanside Campus, AT&T will be splicing in new fiber cable. As a result, Internet access will be disrupted Thursday, January 7from 12:01 AM to 8:00 AM.

What does this mean to you?


The following services will be UNAVAILABLE during this time:

(midnight to 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 7)


  • All District Internet services including:
    • SURF
    • MyEdPlan
    • Sharepoint Portal
    • Horizon 
    • Vmware/view
    • SARS
    • VPN
    • Hub
    • Tableau
    • MAT/ART
    • WEB home folders
    • College Police CLETS
    • Campus Telephones 
  • The following services will NOT be impacted during this transition:
    • Canvas
    • miracosta.edu
    • PortalGuard
    • Office 365 services (OneDrive, Teams, email) 
    • Workday
    • GoogleDrive

We understand that some our students may want to register for classes during this time and this information will be communicated out on the main page of the District website, on the SURF log in page, and on the District's social media channels.
