MiraCosta College is eager to start the
2025 Spring Semester on January 21, welcoming new and returning students to campus for another exciting academic term. As part of the college's ongoing commitment to providing exceptional student services and cutting-edge facilities, MiraCosta offers an expansive array of subjects, from foundational courses like mathematics, biology, and English to cutting-edge courses tailored for the evolving job landscape.
The new Student Services Building, is a state-of-the-art, one-stop shop for all student needs. This hub is designed to streamline services and offer a centralized location for admissions, counseling, financial aid, and student support. Students will now be able to complete a wide range of tasks—from registration to academic advising—all under one roof, making it easier than ever to stay on track and succeed at MiraCosta.
In addition to the new Student Services Building, the college is proud to announce the opening of two new academic facilities: the Chemistry and Biotechnology Building and the Media Arts Center. These innovative spaces will provide students in STEM and creative disciplines with access to modern labs, classrooms, and equipment to help foster discovery and hands-on learning.
Ribbon-cutting ceremonies for these new buildings are scheduled for February and March, and the college looks forward to celebrating these milestones with the community.
MiraCosta College is a leader in providing affordable education. New college entrants taking 12 or more units per semester are eligible for two free years of college courtesy of the Promise program. And for our returning scholars, the tuition is set at a competitive $46 per unit. With an extensive array of scholarships and grants at your fingertips, MiraCosta is committed to ensuring every student has a fulfilling, financially feasible academic experience.
The college offers a broad selection of classes this spring, including transfer-level courses across a wide range of disciplines and classes are available in various formats, including in-person, online, and hybrid courses, offering flexibility for all types of students. Late-start classes are also available, beginning on February 5 and March 26, providing additional opportunities for students to get the classes they need and stay on track with their academic goals.
