The MiraCosta College Office of Advancement has been recognized for its exceptional contributions to community college communications with multiple awards at the 2024 Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO) awards ceremony. The accolades highlight the team's dedication and innovative approach to enhancing the visibility and impact of the college's initiatives.

At this year’s CCPRO conference, MiraCosta College was honored with distinguished awards, reflecting the team's commitment to excellence across various media and public relations forms. 

The college received:
Bronze award for its creatively designed Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 Arts & Events brochure series

Gold award the "Transforming Lives" magazine 

Gold award for "Ghost Ship" a theater promotion video

Bronze for the visually striking "Dancing at Dusk" manipulated photo.

CCPRO, an organization that fosters professional growth among California’s community college public relations professionals, hosts the annual awards to celebrate outstanding work in public relations, marketing, and communications. This year's competition was intense, with numerous entries demonstrating the high level of expertise within the community college system.

Kristen Gonzales, director of public information at MiraCosta College, expressed her pride in the team's accomplishments: "These awards are a testament to the passion and creativity of our team.
