MiraCosta College's 2023 ACCJC Self Evaluation Completed

03/1/2023

MiraCosta College recently completed and submitted its 2023 Institutional Self Evaluation Report to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC). The report was written by a team of contributors from across all divisions of the College and documents the results of a multi-year evaluation of how well the College is meeting the required standards. Accreditation is important for MiraCosta because it assures the public that the College meets standards of quality and allows MiraCosta to qualify for, and distribute, federal financial aid to students.

During the next step in the process this spring semester, an ACCJC Peer Review Team composed of twelve experienced educators from our accrediting region will examine evidence contained in the Institutional Self Evaluation Report to determine if the College meets ACCJC standards. On Tuesday, March 14, at 2 p.m., MiraCosta will host a virtual forum open to all students, employees, and members of the community to meet, interact with, and hear from the ACCJC Peer Review Team members.
