Big Construction Projects Happening at MiraCosta Campuses

08/16/2021

In normal times, almost 27,000 students returning to fall semester classes at MiraCosta College next week would find its three major campuses full of construction projects.

The projects still are there, but most of the students won't be.

Kristen Huyck, the college's director of public and governmental relations, said only about 15 percent of the students will attend on-campus classes, with most opting for online-only instruction. Some will select a hybrid of both online and on-campus offerings, she said.

The construction projects are monumental.
