MiraCosta Public Information Office Wins Awards at 2021 CCPRO Conference

The Community College Public Relations Organization (CCPRO) celebrated the best of the best during its 2021 “Pro” Awards presentation held April 30 as part of the organization’s annual virtual conference. The awards program, open to CCPRO members from California Community Colleges, showcases the work of communications professionals across the state’s 116-college system.

This year, CCPRO received 328 entries from 35 colleges and districts. Judges awarded 111 winners in 40 different categories that included work in publications/design, digital communications, public relations, marketing, and social media.  CCPRO President Kristen Huyck said the work submitted this year was especially impressive given all of the institution's campuses were closed during most of 2020 and communications professionals were working remotely.

“2020 was an incredibly challenging year for our colleges and districts,” said Huyck. “In spite of these challenges, CCPRO members really distinguished themselves by helping connect our students with the classes and resources they needed. Many of the entries this year showed amazing creativity and strategic thinking.” For a complete list of the 2021 CCPRO Pro Awards Winners or to learn more about CCPRO, visit: ccprocalifornia.org
