MiraCosta College Community Education is offering a variety of not-for-credit enrichment courses for the spring semester!

Everyone has a story to tell. This five-week class focuses on finding, writing, creating, and sharing your own personal story through writing practices that lead to building self-resilience and renewal. You will also learn how to create a blog, so you can publish your story today and your future stories for tomorrow.

Fee: $69. Location: Online. Supplies: Students will need a digital device, preferably a home computer or laptop, with adequate bandwidth to attend virtual classes and log in to various Google applications. Time: 6 Saturdays, 3/6–4/10, 10 AM–12 PM.

Learn how to create a stunning website with Wix, one of the world's most popular website building platforms. No need to know how to code—just bring your imagination. This course will focus on the process of making a website step-by-step, from getting started with Wix to planning your site and publishing your website. Note: Students must know how to navigate the Internet and use a computer. A Wix Premium Plan may be purchased by students for a custom domain and additional features.

Fee: $125. Location: Online. Supplies: Students will need a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer with a built-in camera and microphone that supports browsers like Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. This course can be taken on either a PC or Mac. Time: 4 Saturdays, 3/6–3/27, 2–4 PM. Instructor will send an email with Zoom link before class begins.

Many successful businesses start as home-based businesses, such a Google and Microsoft! Whether you want to start the next multi-billion dollar business or create your own source of income, this class will teach you the foundation to get started and be successful. Home-based business can thrive even in desperate times. Topics include establishing a foundation, legal entities and licenses, business planning, marketing, franchising, and resources available.

Master the basics of top social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and Pinterest. Learn how to tell your story and write interesting and compelling captions. This course provides powerful techniques that will help your social media presence stand out from all the others. Note: Students must know how to navigate the Internet and use a computer.
