MiraCosta College Receives 2020 iCommute Diamond Award

09/18/2020
For the second year in a row, MiraCosta College has received an iCommute Diamond Award recognizing employers in the San Diego region who have made strides to promote alternative commute choices in the workplace. San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) recognized the Fiscal Year 2020 Diamond Awards recipients with a virtual awards presentation on September 17.

Diamond Award employers help commuters get to work or school without adding traffic to the region’s roads and freeways, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and improve mobility. This is accomplished by promoting alternatives to driving alone, like vanpool, carpool, walk, bike, transit, telework, or a combination of these.

One of the ways MiraCosta College encourages our community to consider alternative commute choices is by promoting California Clean Air Day, on Wednesday, October 7. To learn more about California Clean Air Day visit the iCommute web page
