Thanks to input from the region’s business community, MiraCosta College under the direction of Dr. Taccone, has developed new four-year degree programs where students can earn their bachelor’s degrees at a fraction of the cost of a private four-year university and be ready for the job market.

The MiraCosta College has established an ongoing partnership with Point Loma Nazarene
University as part of its 2+2 program. The program -- approved by the MiraCosta College Board of Trustees – kicked off with degree paths in business, nursing, computer information
technology, and child development.

The 2+2 program allows students who earn their two-year degree from MiraCosta to take upper division courses taught by Point Nazarene University professors. They can take the courses online and in the classroom without ever having to leave MiraCosta. The students love it because they can seamlessly continue to their education, keep local, and stay off the freeways.
