Warren Yagubyan, who has been at MiraCosta College for 33 years, teaches noncredit employability skills classes for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

In 2018, she was selected by the Faculty Association of California Community Colleges as the recipient of the Part-Time Faculty of the Year award. She also received the Leon Baradat Award, which is given to an outstanding faculty member at MiraCosta College.

Warren Yagubyan earned her bachelor’s degree in education at San Diego State University and a master’s degree from the University of Phoenix.

Warren Yagubyan said she learned to advocate through her work with her students. “I’m not afraid to speak up for what’s right and what's fair. If I can do that for my students, I can do that for everybody,” she said.
