Shannon Stubblefield, an experienced leader in philanthropic and community partnerships, began serving as Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the Foundation at MiraCosta College in 2022.
Stubblefield, a native of Southern California, previously as chief philanthropy officer for Lifeline Community Services in San Diego County, after spending six years in Chicago at the Robert R. McCormick Foundation and the Greater Chicago Food Depository.
Stubblefield is a member of the Carlsbad Charitable Foundation, the North County African American Women’s Association, the San Diego Women’s Foundation, and a past board president for the North County Philanthropy Council. She previously taught fundraising and marketing as an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego and North Park University. Having earned her bachelor's degree in business management from San Diego State University, she began working with 2-1-1 San Diego in 2001, sparking an interest in fundraising and philanthropy, which led her to pursue a master's degree in the University of San Diego's Nonprofit Management and Leadership program.

"Her knowledge and experience will serve generations of students well into the future as we seek to strengthen our partnerships with the community and continue to build support for our students and our college."
In her new role, Stubblefield will oversee the college's foundation, institutional advancement efforts, and marketing department.
