Shann Davis is majoring in Dramatic Arts and Sociology and will be graduating from MiraCosta College this semester. He is president of the Black Student Union; vice president of A2MEND, the African-American Male Education Network & Development organization; and director of public relations for the student government association.

Davis, a 21-year-old Riverside resident, hopes to transfer to Howard University or Morehouse College, where he plans to continue his studies in the theater and sociology. He aspires to become an actor or to teach drama or sociology.

One of the highlights of his time at MiraCosta College was participating in a trip to Ghana along with other community college students and educators in the region. Davis and the others on the trip were able to experience the African culture and see the important role that Africa plays in the world.
