Meet Bianca Rosales

Bianca Rosales, the Associated Student Government president at MiraCosta College, is majoring in sustainable agriculture and plans to graduate in Spring 2024. She hopes to transfer to the University of Nevada at Reno and major in agriculture and economics in preparation for a career advocating for farmers and sustainable farming.

She said that agriculture has always been a part of her life. She grew up in Oceanside but spent summers and school breaks at her grandfather’s farm in Mexico, where he grew crops and raised farm animals. “I loved my time down there,” she said. “It’s a big part of my childhood.”

Rosales, a 23-year-old Oceanside resident, sees her career in agriculture as a way to honor her late grandfather and relive her happy times on his farm. She also hopes to share her love of farming with her four-year-old son, Mack.
