MiraCosta College Remembers 9/11

09/9/2021

On the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, MiraCosta College remembers the nearly 3,000 lives lost and the many lives forever changed during the devastating terror attacks on the World Trade Center twin towers, the Pentagon, and United Flight 93. We mourn the victims and we remember all the families and loved ones impacted by lives cut short. We also honor the first responders and other heroes, and are indebted to the first responders and volunteers who lost their lives in helping others. The events of that day continue to impact our country and world.

MiraCosta College is honored to serve the individuals who dedicate their lives to protecting others. All flags throughout the MiraCosta College District will be flown at half-mast in honor of Remembrance Day.

Please note the community events planned in our community in honor of Remembrance Day. Even if you cannot attend one of these events, please mark this day by joining me in your own way whether with a time of silence, prayer, meditation, or being of service to others.
