wording in the syllabus for planned substitution
of online for on-site class time in accordance
with the new policy:
During the week of October 1, this class will
meet online rather than in the classroom. Students
will be prepared for the online project during
class the week before.

Some hours of in-class instruction will be substituted
with equivalent online activites.
September 24: online lecture on Topic A September
26: online lecture on Topic B and discussion
board comments

If the instructor is absent, class can be conducted
here using the chat feature. This may happen
for up to two class sessions during the semester.
Students will be prepared for the activity during
regular class, and e-mailed about the substitution
as far in advance as possible.

This class uses the Blackboard Course Management
System extensively for access to class materials.
If the instructor is absent, class may be conducted
here in Blackboard using a discussion forum
or assignment. This may happen for up to one
week of class this semester.
