Welcome to Spring 2010

Masterworks Chorale will once again meet TUESDAY evenings at MiraCosta College campus in Oceanside! With the opening of the new Concert Hall on the Oceanside campus, Masterworks will rehearse and perform on the new stage.

One of the performance highlights of the season will be Mozart’s great masterpiece, Requiem, on Saturday, March 27 and Sunday, March 28. The weekend will include special events for the official opening celebrations of the new Concert Hall. In April and May, Masterworks Chorale will continue to sing on campus and perform around North County.

Interested in auditioning?
All experienced singers are invited to sit in on a regular rehearsal. Following the rehearsal, interested singers may arrange for a voice placement interview that will include some vocalizing and sight-reading.
Cost?
Community singers may register through MiraCosta’s Community Learning Center for this tuition-free non-credit course (NCMUS20). All chorus members are responsible for purchasing performance wardrobe. The purchase of a performance folder is optional. Masterworks Chorale is also offered as a one-unit credit course (MUS 161). Credit students complete additional assignments outside of rehearsal time.
Where are rehearsals?
Masterworks Chorale will have the privilege of rehearsing both on stage of the new Concert Hall, and in Studio A (OC 2218) in the Creative Arts complex.
