Please read the syllabus for the class that you are taking or that you are interested in taking. The syllabus contains extensive information about the class.
Click on the Class Syllabi link on the right to read about any of our Self-Paced flexible learning classes.
If you have enrolled in one of the MLC self-paced classes, you are required to complete an online orientation. You may begin the orientation by clicking on the MLC Class Orientation link on the left.
These classes are taught with the aide of video lectures and computerized tutorials. These classes are geared for people who are self-disciplined enough to work on their own through the class. All of our classes have in-person testing requirements. CAI classes are NOT fully online classes.
The MLC is also designed to help students in any MiraCosta mathematics class. Students are welcome to work on their homework in the MLC and ask questions when they get stuck on a problem. We have various staff in the MLC qualified to help with different classes.
The staff in the MLC cannot work one-on-one with each
student for more than a few minutes. If you would like a
private tutor, the Tutoring
and Academic Support Center offers this service.
