Eric has been teaching theatre on the college level since 1992. He has taught at all levels (community college, university and conservatory) and at several colleges including Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, Utah State University, Cal State Fullerton, Allan Hancock College, Fresno City College, Scottsdale Community College, Cypress College and Fullerton College.

Directing credits include work at Moonlight Stage Productions, LaJolla Stage Company, Southwest Shakespeare Company and several colleges. His production of Fuente Ovejuna at MiraCosta College was a regional finalist and performed in the 2006 KC/ACTF in Cedar City, UT.

As a professional actor, Eric has performed at PCPA Theaterfest, Old Lyric Theatre, Southwest Shakespeare Company, Arizona Jewish Theatre, Summer Repertory Theatre, the Hollywood Bowl and The Kennedy Center in Washington DC. While at PCPA Theaterfest, he received a Dramalogue/Backstage West Award.

In the summer, Eric is the co- founder of The Actor's Academy where he teaches acting with Shakespeare to conservatory students.


Eric serves as a Governing Board member for the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival in which he is the Circuit Coordinator for the new San Diego Circuit and a respondent for the Irene Ryan Semi-Finalists. He previously served as Invitational Scenes Coordinator, Workshop Coordinator and Circuit 3 Coordinator.

Eric was named to the honors list "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006.

Tracy Williams

The MiraCosta Theatre Department is excited to welcome Tracy Williams to it's full time faculty in Fall 2005. Tracy (formerly Tracy Hill-Dressler) comes to MiraCosta from Scottsdale Community College where she recently served as the Theatre Director for the past three years and faculty member for the past 19 years.

She is the Conservatory Director of The Actor's Academy which she also helped to co-found. She also was Conservatory Director at Southwest Shakespeare Conservatory which is attached to the Southwest Shakespeare Company in Mesa, Arizona. Tracy was a Founder of the Arizona Shakespeare Festival as well as the Southwest Shakespeare Company 13 years ago.

An accomplished Equity actress, Tracy spent last summer playing lead roles in three plays at the Old Lyric Repertory Theatre in Logan, Utah. She acted in Enchanted April, Moon Over Buffalo and Song of Singapore.

Tracy is married to Christopher Williams, a professional actor and director, and has three children.

Kelly Kissinger
Instructional Associate

Kelly came to work for MiraCosta College in 1975. Since that time, he has been involved in over two hundred MiraCosta Theater productions. In addition to his duties as Technical Director and Master Carpenter, Kelly also does set design for the department and is an Associate Faculty member teaching Stagecraft

Leslie Kamps
secretary

Leslie is the secretary for the Creative Arts. She came to MiraCosta from UC San Diego in 2005.


Her office is in the Theatre (2000) Building on the Oceanside campus. She is on duty Monday - Friday between August and May.

Paul Canaletti
Associate faculty

Paul teaches Stage Lighting at MiraCosta and designs the lighting for most of it's productions as well. A MiraCosta grad himself, Paul received a Masters degree from SDSU and now teaches full time at Guajome Park Academy.

Larry Jorgensen
Associate faculty

Larry continues to teach the Stage Makeup class for MiraCosta after having served as a faculty member in the Theatre Discipline for over 30 years. Larry trained at the prestigious theatrical makeup school, Elegance, in Los Angeles and brings the most contemporary techniques used in theatre, film and television to the students of MiraCosta.

Kristianne Kurner
Associate Faculty

Kristianne teaches Introduction to Theatre at MiraCosta and has acted as a guest artist workshop facilitator in The Actor's Academy. She is also a Founder and Managing Director of New Village Arts Theatre in Carlsbad.
After graduating from the College of William & Mary in Virginia, Kristianne earned a Masters Degrees in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School.

While at the Drama School, she was trained by members of the acclaimed and highly selective Actors Studio. The Actors Studio has trained and fostered the talents of Paul Newman, Ellen Burstyn and theatre and film director Arthur Penn among many others.
In addition, Ms. Kurner trained privately for three years with David Gideon, member of the Actors Studio and former Director of the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute of New York.

She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Circle in the Square (Downtown), Tribeca Lab, Virginia Shakespeare Festival, Olney Theater, HERE, Synchronicity Space, Henry Street Settlement, San Diego Repertory Theatre, Sledgehammer Theatre, John Montgomery Theatre and with the Jewish Repertory Theatre under the direction of Sidney Lumet.

  Bryon Andersen
House Manager/Production Assistant

Bryon began his position as the House Manager/Production Assistant in December 2006. Bryon had worked previously for the Music Department and has been at MCC since 1997.
